Black Alumni Weekend: Congressional Black Caucus Conference Session

September 16th Calendar

Sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation

This Congressional Black Caucus program, Investing in Joyful Black Pregnancy and Birth: How Advancing the Momnibus Will Save Lives, is created and hosted by CBC member and alumna, Congresswoman Lauren Underwood, NUR, SPH '09.

This session will focus on the evidence base for the Black Maternal Health Momnibus (H.R. 959). The session will highlight the joys of Black pregnancy and birth by sharing success stories of maternal health interventions that improve outcomes, and explain how the Momnibus scales these interventions to help save moms' lives and end racial disparities in maternal health outcomes.

The perspectives and opinions expressed by the speaker(s) during this program are those of the speaker(s) and not, necessarily, those of Johns Hopkins University.
