Showcase Series: A Conversation about Maryland’s Health Equity Policies

Joseline Peña-Melnyk has represented Prince George’s and Anne Arundel Counties as state delegate for ten years. She feels privileged to work on behalf of her constituents and a passion for public service is at the core of her character.

Dr. Cooper is a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Equity in Health and Health Care and Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity and the Urban Health Institute.  She holds faculty appointments in the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, and Bloomberg School of Public Health, and the Welch Center for Prevention, Epidemiology and Clinical Research.

Dr. Crews is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.  She holds faculty appointments with the School of Nursing, the Welch Center for Prevention, Epidemiology and Clinical Research, the Center on Aging and Health, and the Center for Health Equity, where she is Deputy Director.
