New York Young Alumni: Food and Walking Tour of the Lower East Side & Chinatown
Sponsored by Hopkins New York Young Alumni
Join fellow young alumni and friends for our return to in-person programming! The New York Young Alumni community invites you to celebrate New York's reopening with a food tour of Chinatown and the Lower East Side, two historic areas that never stop evolving. As we walk the tenement-lined streets, we'll get to know the stories and struggles of both recent and earlier immigrants and the food traditions they brought with them from around the world. We'll snack on globe-spanning treats that have become decidedly local—mingling our inner Jacob Riis with our inner Anthony Bourdain. This tour is 2 - 2.5 hours. Come hungry!
For questions, please contact the New York Young Alumni staff liaison Jenn Fisher, directly.
