Join Dr. Patricia (Patty) Mechael, A&S ‘95 & BSPH '98 for a conversation, signing, and Q&A about her book, The Antidotes: Pollution Solution, at Bird In Hand Café & Bookstore. This new middle grade book follows Sir, Izi, and their 5th grade friends as they race against time to stop a plastic-eating bacteria experiment gone wrong in the Chesapeake Bay that's making kids and fish sick. Patty will read a portion of her book, discuss some of the key themes including women and girls in STEM, and share her experience writing the book with her 10-year-old son! Light refreshments will be served.
