Please join the Department of Art as Applied to Medicine as we come together to honor and celebrate Tim Phelps on the occasion of his retirement, marking an extraordinary 40-year career of teaching, mentoring, and medical illustration at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
For four decades, Tim has inspired generations of students, shaped the field of medical illustration, and brought complex science to life through his incredible artwork. We invite colleagues, alumni, students, and friends to gather, share memories, and celebrate his remarkable legacy and wish him the very best in his next chapter.
As part of the celebration, guests will have the special opportunity to view an exhibition of Tim’s brilliant work, which will be on display at the Welch Medical Library during the event.
