Ben Kupferberg is a Vice President on the Credit Investment Team at Blue Owl (NYSE: OWL), a $250+ billion alternative investment asset management company. He joined in 2019 and is focused on direct lending and equity investing in upper middle market companies. Ben specifically focuses on the Investment Team’s Opportunistic / Special Situations Fund as well as FIG and Education deals. Before joining Blue Owl, Ben was in the Leveraged Finance Investment Banking group at Jefferies. Ben received a BA in International Studies with a concentration in Economics from Johns Hopkins University, where he graduated with high honors in 2015. Ben also received an MA from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in International Economics in 2016. He lives in New York City with his wife.
Robert Simon is an Associate at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, an NYC-based private equity firm, that is currently investing out of its 12th fund which is a $26 billion pool of capital. He joined the firm in 2023 and is focused on investing in industrial businesses. Prior to CD&R, Robert was an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs as part of its Industrials Investment Banking group. Robert received a BA in Economics with a minor in Business from Johns Hopkins University. Robert also sits on the Board of Advisors for Blue Jays Unlimited and serves as the Co-President of the Johns Hopkins Finance Mentor Network.
