Moving Public Health Forward: A conversation with Dean Keshia Pollack Porter  Header Image

Join us for a virtual conversation with Keshia Pollack Porter, PhD ’06, MPH, 12th Dean of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and Judy Keen, PhD ’02, MSB ’98 (KSAS), President of the Johns Hopkins Alumni Council. They will explore the future of public health and the Bloomberg School’s role in shaping it. The discussion will reflect on what led Dean Pollack Porter to this role, key insights from the first six months, and the biggest surprises along the way. 

Dean Pollack Porter will share priorities for the coming year, her long-term vision for the School, and the challenges and opportunities facing public health in the years ahead. This virtual event offers the alumni community a chance to hear directly from leadership and learn more about how you can support public health, the Bloomberg School, and current students to move public health forward.    

ABOUT Dr. Keshia Pollack Porter

Keshia M. Pollack Porter, PhD ’06, MPH, became the 12th dean of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health on August 1, 2025. 

Pollack Porter leads an organization that includes over 900 full-time faculty, a full-time staff of more than 1,400, and more than 3,100 students from 88 nations. Under her leadership, the School seeks lifesaving solutions across a broad range of issues from chronic and infectious disease prevention to immunology, nutrition, and child survival.

ABOUT Dr. Judy Keen

Judy Keen, PhD, is a scientific and association executive who advances biomedical innovation by building high-impact partnerships across industry, government, academia, and nonprofits. She currently serves as CEO of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR), providing strategic leadership and representing the society to key stakeholders in science and health. With more than two decades of experience, she has led major translational research and public-private collaboration efforts, including overseeing large-scale oncology initiatives. Judy earned her PhD from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and is known for integrating emerging science and digital medicine into clinical research and care.
