Course Description: Designed for true beginners, this course introduces essential Chinese language skills for professional and business settings. Using the Business Chinese Test (BCT) Standard Course textbook, students will learn key vocabulary, expressions, and sentence patterns for introductions, phone calls, meetings, and networking. Emphasizing practical communication and cultural awareness, the course builds confidence in using Chinese for real-world business exchange

If a course is canceled or closed, the registrant is notified immediately, and a full refund is processed automatically unless another course is requested. Registrants who wish to withdraw from an active course must complete the online Odyssey Refund Request Form. Attach any documentation to support your request (e.g., medical documentation, family crisis documentation, etc.).

100% refund: Prior to the start of the course and after the first class.
No refunds: After the first week of each course unless in exceptional cases.

For single-session courses:
100% refundable within two (2) business days of the event.

ABOUT Dr. Qian Wang, PhD

With over 15 years of experience teaching Chinese at all levels in university settings, I hold a Ph.D. in East Asian Languages and Literatures with a focus on Chinese Linguistics and am a certified ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) tester. I have also taught working professionals at the National Foreign Language Center, bringing expertise in proficiency assessment and accelerated language learning methodologies. This diverse experience enables me to effectively guide students from foundational skills to functional communication in Chinese, whether they are college students or adult learners. I am passionate about creating engaging, learner-centered classrooms that connect language learning with authentic cultural contexts, emphasizing communicative competence, intercultural understanding, and confidence in real-world language use. In my free time, I enjoy yoga and crafting.
