William P. Carey II is Executive Director in the Credit and Risk department at W. P. Carey Inc., a leading publicly traded net lease investment firm with operations in the U.S. and Europe. He is also Chairman and President of the W. P. Carey Foundation. From 2014 to 2017, he was responsible for investing on behalf of Carey Credit Income Fund, a public fund managed by W. P. Carey Inc. and Guggenheim Partners that invested in middle market credit. He began his career in the Office of the Chairman and transitioned to the investments department in 2011.
Mr. Carey received an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a B.A. from Sewanee: The University of the South. He is active in educational and philanthropic institutions and serves on the Boards of University of Pennsylvania, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and the Gilman School.
