Tom Bozzuto has dedicated his career to creating sanctuary. As a man of both action and reflection, his business model has been governed by civic responsibility and the belief that true success comes to those who lead with concern and integrity. In 1988, together with his partners, he created The Bozzuto Group, which today is recognized nationally as a multi-generational, values-driven, leading and award-winning developer, builder and manager of apartment communities.
Tom has served on many non-profit and public boards and as a congressional appointee to the Millennial Housing Commission, a gubernatorial appointee to the Maryland Housing Commission. He also was board chairman of Citizens Planning and Housing Association, National Multifamily Housing Council, the Maryland Science Center, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and, most recently, the Baltimore Community Foundation. Currently, he is a member of the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Policy Advisory Board and a board member of the Greater Baltimore Committee, Living Classrooms Foundation and the Kennedy Krieger Foundation.
Over the years, Tom published his first book, ""Reflections of an Ordinary Man,”" was inducted into the Multifamily Executive Magazine (MFE) Hall of Fame, and named Business Leader of the Year by the Loyola University Maryland Sellinger School of Business. Among his numerous achievements, he has received ULI Washington's and Multi-Housing News' Lifetime Achievement Awards and was named an Icon Honors recipient by The Daily Record. Tom and his wife, Barbara, were also inducted into The Baltimore Sun’s Business and Civic Hall of Fame for their lifelong commitment to their community.
