Chicago Young Alumni: Mosaics Class at the Color Cocktail Factory

Join your fellow young alumni and friends for a night of mosaic making at the Color Cocktail Factory. 

Mosaic Creations - All Skill Levels Welcome

2 hours mosaic course with experienced artists, for all levels of experience including beginners.
Come and learn the direct method of making a mosaic suitable for indoors or outdoors by laying tiles directly onto a durable surface. This can be a mixed media mosaic if you wish- and you can bring your own material to include in your work. 

You will learn:
•How to transform a design idea into a mosaic
•How to use mosaic making tools
•How to cut and lay mosaic tiles
•How to apply basic techniques.
•How to grout and clean your mosaic.

This course is suitable for mosaic novices or those wishing to extend their practice. You will complete a small mosaic (20cm x 20cm maximum) to take home.
Your ticket will also include two drinks and light snacks. 

A portion of this registration fee will serve as a donation in support of future programming and events.  If you wish to not have a portion of your registration support such initiatives, you may contact the Office of Annual Giving: oag@jhu.edu.
