In this course, you’ll cut through the hype to understand what AI really is, how it’s being used today, and how you can apply it in your own life with confidence. Through hands-on demonstrations, practical tools, and real-world case studies, participants will gain clarity, reduce “AI overwhelm,” and leave with a personal toolkit for thriving in the future of work.

Johns Hopkins Tuition Remission Policies 
Tuition benefits are available to University faculty, staff, and retirees only. Employees of Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, or the Applied Physics Laboratory should contact your institution’s Human Resources office for information about tuition remission and eligibility:
Select the correct ticket pricing during registration. If we cannot confirm your university eligibility, you will be requested to pay the full registration price for each course. Complete eligibility details can be found here.
Withdrawals & Refunds:
If a course is canceled or closed, the registrant is notified immediately, and a full refund is processed automatically unless another course is requested. Registrants who wish to withdraw from an active course must complete the online Odyssey Refund Request Form. Attach any documentation to support your request (e.g., medical documentation, family crisis documentation, etc.).
  • 100% refund: Prior to the start of the course and after the first class.
  • No refunds: After the first week of each course unless in exceptional cases.
For single-session courses:
100% refundable within two (2) business days of the event.
Please note, refunds apply only to the tuition portion of an Odyssey participant’s charges and are not applicable to any fees or gifts made to the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association. Registrants will be notified by email if a refund is approved within five (5) business days.
ABOUT Chris Rossen
Management Consultant and Systems Analyst

Chris R. Rossen is an experienced management consultant, systems analyst, and interactive producer with over 20 years of expertise in solution architecture, project management, and software development. A U.S. Army and Air Force veteran, he has held top-secret security clearances and contracted with the intelligence community, implementing workflow systems for agencies such as the NSA and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (formerly NIMA). 

Today, Chris leads multiple internet software projects and develops scalable platforms that integrate AI, customer resource management, and digital transformation strategies for small businesses and entrepreneurs. He is the founder of WebGuruMasters and WebGuruConnect, companies dedicated to helping organizations streamline operations and adopt intelligent tools for growth.

Beyond technology, Chris is also an author and creative storyteller. He has written several award-winning screenplays and is the author of the System-Upgrade sci-fi thriller series, which explores the intersection of artificial intelligence, geopolitics, and human resilience. A licensed airline transport pilot and former flight instructor, Chris combines his passions for aviation, travel, and futurism with a deep commitment to making technology accessible and empowering for all.
