In the Stacks: Ann Street Trio

Archives hold many mysteries waiting to be uncovered. An unlabeled photograph, an anonymous diary, or a forgotten manuscript can open new windows into the past. In this program, Baltimore-based ensemble Ann Street Trio will bring music and archives together to explore how works and their creators are remembered, overlooked, and rediscovered.

Featuring chamber music by Louise Farrenc, Ferdinand Ries, and Carl Fruhling, the performance will examine the connections between musical memory and archival discovery. A one-night-only display of rare archival treasures recently unearthed or researched by Sheridan Libraries & University Museums archivists will extend these themes beyond the stage, inviting audiences to experience the thrill of discovery firsthand.
