Join us as we investigate the most active volcano in the Cascade Mountains in a live, interactive, and thought-provoking virtual program with the Mount St. Helens Institute! What causes landforms to build up and break down? Explore the ways that the landscape around Mount St. Helens was shaped by past eruptions and the different forces of geology change the shape of the land. We will discuss the incredible renewal of life that amazed scientists and the community after the eruption. The Mount St. Helens Institute, founded in 1996, connects people of all ages to Mount St. Helens and the natural world through educational programming designed to enrich visitors’ appreciation and understanding of the Pacific Northwest’s youngest and most active volcano.
