Djordje Milosevic is a Speechwriter for the Washington, D.C.-based Global Partnership for Education, the largest global fund dedicated to transforming education in lower-income countries. He is also an Instructor at Southern Illinois University–Carbondale (SIUC) where he teaches courses on Politics of the Global Economy and Russia, and the Post-Soviet States.
Milosevic brings over 12 years of professional experience in advisory, research, communications, and partner relations roles with the World Bank, United Nations Development Programme, and the Government of Serbia. From 2018 to 2020, Milosevic served as Foreign Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister of Serbia, where he led the government’s team in direct negotiations with the EU and initialed the agreement establishing the Transport Community Secretariat, the first international organization headquartered in Serbia.
In that role, he supported and led the planning and implementation of foreign policy and communications strategies, preparing background briefings, speeches, talking points, and presentations for high-level executives at events such as the UN General Assembly, World Economic Forum in Davos, World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings, and the coronation of the Japanese Emperor in Tokyo.
A native of Belgrade, Serbia, Milosevic earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Belgrade and a master’s degree in Strategic Studies from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in International Relations at SIUC.
