Course Description: Grief touches every life, yet finding the words to express loss can be both challenging and transformative. In this writing workshop, participants will explore how acclaimed authors including Elizabeth Gilbert, Jesmyn Ward, Joan Didion, and Stephanie Foo have written about grief, memory, resilience, and healing. Craft and revise a personal essay reflecting on your own experiences of loss. Whether poignant, reflective, or unexpectedly humorous, these essays will help writers explore the power of storytelling as a way to process grief, connect with others, and discover meaning through writing.
