Presented by the Johns Hopkins Center for Social Concern and Hopkins at Home

Join Daisy Mitchell, Center for Social Concern's Community Data Specialist, as she explores the last six decades of JHU's legacy of service and community engagement. This history starts in 1958 with the creation of the Tutorial Project under the University Chaplain's Office and leads us to the Center for Social Concern's present civic initiatives. Daisy has been collaborating with Hopkins Retrospective and Sheridan Libraries, utilizing University Archives to highlight and reflect on JHU's civic and community engagement history. As we near our 35th anniversary as the CSC, the Center has been reflecting upon its transformation and the collaboration between Hopkins students and the community over the years. This presentation is also a promotion for a sesquicentennial celebration exhibit in the fall of 2026.
