ABOUT Hallie Jackson

Hallie Marie Jackson is Senior Washington correspondent for NBC News, an anchor for Hallie Jackson NOW and Sunday's NBC Nightly News. Jackson and her reporting appear across all NBC News platforms. 

She started her journalism career at WBOC-TV in the towns of Salisbury, Maryland and Dover, Delaware, in 2006. Her career led her in 2012 to Hearst Television, where she reported for their 26 stations from Washington, D.C. In 2014, Jackson became a reporter and journalist for NBC News, for which she covered politics and presidential campaigns for the network, including co-moderating the February 2020 presidential debate and anchoring "Decision 2024" coverage. Since launching Hallie Jackson NOW in the fall of 2021, Jackson has covered the biggest breaking news stories for viewers each weekday night. In April 2024, Hallie Jackson became the Sunday anchor of NBC Nightly News, bringing the evening news program to Washington, D.C.

Jackson graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. degree in political science.
