Region December 14, December 14, SundayVolunteer, Horses for Healing, AustinSponsored by Hopkins Austin’Tis the season to give back — alumni, family, and friends are invited to spend a joyful day at Healing with Horses! We’ll start with a brief tour of the ranch, roll up our sleeves for a hands-on volunteer project, and finish with a festive group photo with one of the horses. Your help keeps the ranch safe and accessible so riders with disabilities, at-risk individuals, and veterans can continue life-changing therapeutic lessons all year. What to expect: We’ll gather for a friendly welcome and short tour, then work together on a ranch volunteer project suitable for all skill levels. We’ll wrap up with a group photo with a horse, and keep spirits bright with treats, coffee, and hot chocolate throughout.Good to know: Please wear closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate, ranch-friendly clothing (festive flair welcome). For everyone’s safety, dogs are not permitted on the ranch.  This is a family-friendly event. Come spread some holiday cheer and make a real difference. We can’t wait to see you there! A portion of this registration fee will serve as a donation in support of future programming and events.  If you wish to not have a portion of your registration support such initiatives, you may contact the Office of Annual Giving: oag@jhu.edu.       While participating in off-campus events and meetings sponsored by the JHAA/JHM/JHHS participants must follow all public health guidelines mandated by the local jurisdiction and venue at the time of the event. Johns Hopkins strongly suggests that attendees who join in person receive at least one dose of an FDA- or WHO-authorized COVID-19 vaccine before attending This is subject to change. JHAA Event Cancellation and Refund Policyaustin-tx-alumni-volunteering-at
