"But Don't Believe Them" Documentary Screening and Q&A

Sponsored by Hopkins Alumni
Join Mark G. Meadows ('11), 2020 Jazz Artist of the Year (DC), and award winning documentary film director Michael Ivan Schwartz as they host a screening of their new short docu-concert, But Don't Believe Them, followed by an interactive discussion regarding the film and the Black Lives Matter movement.
This 23-minute docu-concert is an artist's statement from Mark G. Meadows; a black bicultural jazz musician speaking about the Black Lives Matter movement. The film shares Mark's journey as he communicates through interviews and music his effort to awaken people to the need for equality for black people living in America.
Mark graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2011 with bachelors degrees in Psychology and Jazz. He then earned a Graduate Performance Diploma in jazz piano from Peabody Conservatory in 2013.
