September 28, 2020 - October 26, 2020 (3 sessions)

Mondays, 6:30 - 7:30 PM EDT

Join internationally acclaimed trumpeter and the Richard and Elizabeth Case Chair of the Jazz department at the Peabody Institute, Sean Jones, as he takes you on a journey through jazz  - then and now. Using his personal collection of vinyl, Sean will share his favorite recordings representative of different styles and cultural origins of jazz music. During this informal listening tour, Sean will guide you through several pieces of music during which he’ll help you listen for and understand the melody, harmony, and  nuances that make jazz so unique.

We hope you’ll get comfy and spend some time with us as we gather together with Sean Jones and let the music bring us together!
