Come and observe the stars and planets with us at the Maryland Space Grant Observatory! Check out the the moon, nebula, or a particular star through The Morris W. Offit Telescope, the major observing instrument in the Maryland Space Grant Observatory. Provided by an anonymous donor in honor of Morris W. Offit, past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of JHU, the telescope has, as its major optical element, a 20"-diameter (half-meter) mirror. The telescope is located under the Stanley D. and Joan F. Greenblatt Dome, on the roof of the Bloomberg Center for Physics and Astronomy, on the Homewood Campus of Johns Hopkins University.
