Biostatistics versus COVID-19: Stories from the Department

Join Dr. Karen Bandeen-Roche, Chair of the Department of Biostatistics as she presents on the COVID-19 research of the department. Dr. Bandeen-Roche will share highlights from ongoing research including an elucidation of factors impacting clinical course of persons hospitalized; improvement of population pandemic forecasting; and work to improve the information coming out of clinical trials.
 

Karen Roche smiling imageDr. Bandeen-Roche serves as the Chair for the Department of Biostatistics at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her primary research area is the development, implementation, and application of models for problems which include underlying or unobservable processes of interest. Most recently, her research has been focused on the application of underlying variable methods in epidemiologic and psycho-social research. Dr. Bandeen-Roche has been named a Brookdale National Fellow and has co-directed a training program in the Biostatistics and Epidemiology of Aging.
