She is the author of numerous articles as well as two books, Deluxe Jim Crow: Civil Rights and American Health Policy, 1935-1985 (University of Georgia Press, 2011), and Health and Humanity: A History of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2016).
