PRIDE Brunch and Cooking Demo with John Shields

Please join us for the 7th Annual Pride LGBTQ Brunch with current students and alumni. We will enjoy an interactive cooking demonstration led by renown chef John Shields--cook along, watch and snack and save the cooking for later, and jump into some conversation with others in small breakout rooms, before we part for the afternoon. Chef Shields will be creating Crabmeat Frittata with Brooms Bloom Cheddar and Herbs and for non-egg eaters, No-Huevos Rancheros - a vegan brunch dish with tofu scramble, salsa fresca, black beans, corn tortillas, avocado, lime "crema". Recipes will be provided along with two recipes for accompanying beverages—the Dirty Gertie - a Chesapeake-inspired version of a Bloody Mary and a Sparkling Lemon-Ginger Mocktail. We look forward to seeing you online for this special treat--if we can't go to Gertrude's for brunch we will "bring" Gertrude's to you!
