Florida Dean's Virtual Networking Event featuring Kimia Ghobadi

Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering

Dean Schlesinger invites alumni and students from the Florida area to hear an update on the Whiting School and network with the Engineering Community.  He will be joined by featured faculty guest speaker, Kimia Ghobadi. Dr. Ghobadi, John C. Malone Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil & Systems Engineering, is a member of Center for Systems Science and Engineering and the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare. She will share a talk titled "How Math Optimization Can Help Hospitals' COVID-19 Load", which will give an overview of her research in using mathematical models, optimization, and analytics to help solve problems we are currently facing during the COVID-19 pandemic, and beyond.

This event is part of a larger series of annual Dean’s networking events designed to help the Whiting School of Engineering build a stronger alumni network and establish a new sense of tradition in the areas where we have the largest alumni populations. Due to the virtual nature of this event, we are pleased to open it up to members of the Engineering community throughout the Florida area.
