Phoenix, AZ: Barbie- A Cultural Icon and The Power of Pink at The Phoenix Art Museum

Sponsored by Hopkins Phoenix/Scottsdale

Join fellow alumni and friends at the Phoenix Art Museum for a private guided tour as we trace the evolution of Barbie, from child's toy to global icon, and then hop on over to The Power of Pink exhibition that illuminates the intricate history of the color pink in the role of fashion and its profound influence on renowned designers such as Gianfranco Ferré, Christian Dior, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent, and more. After the two exhibits, we will transition for light bites, beer, and wine (one drink ticket per registrant) across the street at Forno 301

A portion of this registration fee will serve as a donation in support of future programming and events.  If you wish to not have a portion of your registration support such initiatives, you may contact the Office of Annual Giving: oag@jhu.edu

While participating in off-campus events and meetings sponsored by the JHAA/JHM/JHHS participants must follow all public health guidelines mandated by the local jurisdiction and venue at the time of the event, including vaccination and masking and distancing guidance. Johns Hopkins strongly suggests that attendees who join in person be fully vaccinated. This is subject to change.

All ticket sales are final - ticketed events are non-refundable.
*Tickets should not be sold or transferred without JHAA approval
