Virtual Simulation Training for Refugee Newborn Care in Tijuana, Mexico During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Virtual Simulation Training for Refugee Newborn Care in Tijuana, Mexico During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Over 95% of newborn deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries. We aimed to test the feasibility and efficacy of teaching Helping Babies Breathe via virtual simulation to midwives working with refugees in Tijuna, Mexico during the Covid-19 pandemic where in-person teaching was restricted. What makes virtual education in this context more or less effective, and what can be done to ensure those receiving additional training virtually can continue to provide up-to-date care to their community? Join us for a conversation with Xinshu She as she discusses her collaborative experience reviewing neonatal care virtual teaching and educational evaluation.

This event will be virtual.
