Brian Walker founded the leading pediatric surgery center organization in the U.S., which now completes over 65,000 surgeries annually. After directing the company for more than a decade, he stepped away to complete a doctoral program at Johns Hopkins University, where his research focused on the entrepreneurial process and culminated in a dissertation titled A Qualitative Exploration of Funding Drivers for Women Entrepreneurs in Health Care.
Prior to scaling his company, Brian worked at the Boston Consulting Group, Ridgemont Equity Partners, and earned a master’s degree in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University.
Today, he serves as an Executive Fellow at Harvard Business School, where he co-teaches the Innovating in Health Care course alongside Regina Herzlinger.
