Join us for our Hopkins Dialogue & Dinner Series focused on Cybersecurity facilitated by cybersecurity and artificial intelligence expert, Alex Sharpe, Engr '95 and Serena Watters, Bus '12 (MA), Sr. Advisor, Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer at Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) at Cinghiale Baltimore located within walking distance of Carey Business School in Baltimore, MD.

ABOUT Alex Sharpe (Engr '95)
Board Member | Speaker | Interim Executive | Management Consultant

Mr. Sharpe is a long-time Governance, Digital Transformation, and Privacy expert with real-world operational experience. He has run business units and has influenced national policy. He has served on Boards and has advised them. This provides him a pragmatic understanding of the delicate balance between Business realities, Cybersecurity, and Operational Effectiveness. He began his career at NSA moving into the Management Consulting ranks building practices at Booz Allen and KPMG. He subsequently co-founded two firms. He participated in over 20 M&A transactions. He has delivered to clients in over 20 countries on 6 continents. Appearances have included the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Harvard Law School's Forum on Corporate Governance, Johns Hopkins University, ISACA, OneTrust, and Cloud Security Alliance.

ABOUT Serena Watters, Bus '12 (MA)
Consultant & Senior Advisor for the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency

Serena Watters, Bus '12 (MA) is a Human Capital strategist and a trained professional and career coach. She is the owner of Leveraging HR Consultant Group, LLC and Senior Advisor for the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. In her role at CISA, she drives initiatives that shape policies and programs impacting the workforce. She is the representative and voice for the agency on legislation and national initiatives helping to shape the future of the cybersecurity workforce.  She is currently on special assignment at The White House lending her knowledge to national strategies to build a strong and secure future cybersecurity workforce.

She is a driven leader passionate about building bridges, navigating bureaucracy for the greater good, and developing creative solutions to solve complex problems. She is a change agent who designs strategies that lead to creative, inclusive business solutions for removing barriers to obtaining and retaining talent from underrepresented and marginalized groups. Her contributions to DEIA include strategically recruiting, hiring, and retaining talented Hispanic students/professionals in the federal government and spearheading the Department of Commerce’s first Executive Women in Motion-an executive leadership program for women interested in pursuing leadership within the highest ranks of the federal government. She has mentored hundreds of students from various nationalities and continues on her mission to use her human resources background to help them navigate college and career success.

Ms. Watters earned her M.S. in Organization Development and Strategic Human Resources from Johns Hopkins University. She has a certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University and a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Baltimore. She enjoys gardening, foreign mission service projects and traveling abroad.
