ABOUT THE BARNSTORMERS
The Barnstormers are Hopkins’ largest and oldest student-run theatre group. They produce six shows each year, and hire professional directors for the fall and spring mainstages. The Barnstormers produce the only musical production on campus. All technical design, construction and performance aspects of our shows are student initiated and executed.

MEET THE BARNSTORMERS

Ritika Headshot
Ritika Kommareddi, President

Ritika is a senior majoring in Psychological and Brain Sciences and minoring in Theatre Arts and Studies. She is originally from North Andover, MA, and has been the president of the Barnstormers for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years. She has also been acting in Barnstormers shows since her freshman year.

Sandy Clancy, Publicity

Sandy is a junior double majoring in English and Writing Seminars and minoring in Theatre Arts and Studies. She is from Boylston, MA and is thrilled to be doing Publicity for this upcoming school year, as she has so enjoyed being a performer in the Barnstormers since her freshman spring.

Courtney Carreira, VP of Studio Productions
Courtney is a sophomore majoring in Physics and Applied Mathematics. She is from the Chicagoland area, and currently serves as the Vice President of Studio Productions for the Barnstormers.

Shireen Headshot
Shireen Guru, Technical Executive
Shireen is a senior majoring in History, originally from Buffalo, NY. She has stage managed six main stage productions and worked in many other technical departments during her time with the Barnstormers. She also currently serves on the board as the Technical Executive and previously served as a Technical Director for the 2019-2020 school year.

Tara (Nova) Tang, Technical Director
Nova is a senior majoring in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in Computer-Integrated Surgery. She grew up in Canton, Michigan and is currently a Technical Director and the Head Lighting Designer for the Barnstormers.

Hanna Headshot
Hanna Al-Kowsi, Secretary
Hanna is a sophomore double majoring in Physics and Writing Seminars.  She’s a Maryland native who first lived in West Friendship, then Baltimore.  She’s currently an actor in the Barnstormers as well as the Secretary for the board.

Gabe Feuerstein-Mendik, Business Manager
Gabe is a junior majoring in Public Health and double minoring in Economics and Philosophy. He is originally from New York City, and acts and directs with the Barnstormers. He was Secretary during the 2019-2020 academic year and currently serves as the Business Manager.

Deborah Weidman, VP of Professional Productions
Deb is a senior majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Imaging and Medical Devices. She is originally from Bedford, MA, and has been the Vice President of Professional Productions for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 academic years.
