*POSTPONED* Los Angeles, CA: Hopkins in Action - Heal the Bay Beach Cleanup

Sponsored by the Hopkins Los Angeles Alumni Chapter 

Ocean trash is a serious problem that affects our ecosystem, health, and local economies. Plastic pollution in the water and on the shore can kill marine animals, injure swimmers and beach goers, and ensnare boat propellers.Protect what you love and join us for the Nothin' But Sand Beach Cleanup with Heal the Bay, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making the coastal waters and watersheds of Greater Los Angeles safe, healthy and clean. Supplies are provided, all you need to do is register, sign a waiver, and show up! For those that register, the chapter will coordinate a post-event gathering near the site. 

Note: This is a rain or shine event. Cleanups are only cancelled for lightning or thunderstorms. We will still hold the cleanup in light and steady rain. In this case, please come prepared with a rain jacket, appropriate shoes, and an umbrella.
