Join us for an evening of candid conversation and insights from Johns Hopkins alumni who’ve built careers across film, television, and entertainment. This dynamic, moderated discussion will feature:

  • Henry Huang, A&S ’02, partner, Heroes and Villains Entertainment
  • Luke Kelly-Clyne, A&S ’10, head, HartBeat Independent
  • Sofi Selig, A&S ’16, writer

The event will take place at the historic Culver Hotel, a cinematic landmark that has hosted legends of the silver screen for generations. Following the discussion, guests are invited to enjoy light hors d’oeuvres, refreshments, and continued conversation with fellow attendees including Johns Hopkins University's Film and Media Studies Program faculty Linda DeLibero, Special Advocate for Alumni and Outreach, along with current undergraduate Film and Media Studies students.

ABOUT Luke Kelly-Clyne, A&S '10
Producer, Writer, and Director

Luke Kelly-Clyne A&S '10 is a producer, writer, director, and Co-Head of HartBeat’s independent TV & Film Studio, HartBeat Independent, where he oversees and produces a variety of film and TV projects. Before joining HartBeat, Luke served as President at Propagate Content’s comedy studio, Big Breakfast where he was Executive Producer of the company’s slate of scripted and unscripted feature, TV, and digital projects including: MTV Films’ “Out Of Office” and “Cursed Friends” (both of which he also Produced), Discovery+’s Critics Choice Award-nominated “Million Dollar Wheels,” truTV’s “Double Cross with Blake Griffin,” Comedy Central’s “Loafy,” Facebook Watch’s award-winning "I Want My Phone Back," Discovery and MotorTrend’s ”Kevin Hart’s Muscle Car Crew,” and Pop TV's "Hot Date” on which he also served as showrunner. From 2013-2016, Luke ran Native Content at CollegeHumor where he created and ran several of the brand’s most successful digital series. During this time, he was also a Freelance Contributing Writer to Weekend Update on "Saturday Night Live.” He authors the long-running Vulture column, "Funny Videos of the Month," hosts the HeadGum podcast, "I'm Still Right," and is a guest lecturer in the Film and Media Studies department at Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of the Writers Guild of America, the Producers Guild of America, and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

ABOUT Linda DeLibero
Senior Lecturer and Special Advocate for Alumni and Outreach in the Film and Media Studies at Johns Hopkins University

Linda DeLibero is the Senior Lecturer and Special Advocate for Alumni and Outreach in the Film and Media Studies program at Johns Hopkins University, where she teaches film history and aesthetics. She was director of the film program from 2001-17 and served as Co-Director of the JHU-MICA Film Centre from 2015-18.  She received an MA in the Writing Seminars at JHU in 1989 and has published on film, media and cultural studies since 1990 in a wide range of publications, including ASAP/Journal, Raritan, Book Forum, The Hopkins Review, The Village Voice, VLS, The Boston Review, In These Times, and Newsday. Her monthly podcasts on film can be heard on Dan Rodericks’ Roughly Speaking, located on the Baltimore Sun website.
