New York, NY: Tour of The Metropolitan Opera

Join alumni and friends for a fascinating backstage look at The Met Opera, one of the world's premiere performing arts organizations. Local Hopkins New York alumnus, Leonard Shaver, A&S '79,  will take us on a tour of the scenic and carpentry shops, rehearsal rooms, dressing rooms, and stage area (since this is a working opera house, some areas may not be available on this tour). 

Please Note: Children under 8 are not permitted on the tour. The Backstage Tour includes considerable standing, walking, stairs, and elevators. The theater is able to accommodate individuals using wheelchairs or having other mobility challenges if a request is made at least 1 week before the desired tour date. Backpacks, briefcases, shopping bags, luggage, and other packages are not permitted on the tour, though a small purse/handbag/wallet may be carried. Checkroom facilities are not available, so please plan accordingly.

A portion of this registration fee will serve as a donation in support of future programming and events.  If you wish to not have a portion of your registration support such initiatives, you may contact the Office of Annual Giving: oag@jhu.edu.
