Brought to you by Odyssey
July 8, 2021 - July 22, 2022 (3 Sessions)
Fridays, 10 AM
Great literature is timeless, with many themes that resonate today. In this three-session course, we will discuss William Shakespeare's "King Lear" (Alzheimer's/dementia) in the first class (July 6); Eugene O'Neill's "Long Day's Journey into Night" (Drug Addiction) in the second (July 13); and August Wilson's "Fences" (Race Relations) in the third (July 20). The three texts are widely available.
Each Friday class will take place in the Baltimore Museum of Art's Sculpture Garden from 10 AM to 12 Noon, followed by an optional lunch with your classmates at Gertrude's (BMA's Restaurant). Rain location will be inside Gertrude's dining room. Registration is limited so please sign up soon.
