Course Description: With the rise of far-reaching technological innovation, from AI to
machine learning-big data to quantum super-computing, human life is being transformed in the Digital Era. While such developments have made unprecedented changes to the ways we live, our political practices and ideas have failed to evolve at pace with these profound technological changes. From the perspectives of three different political theories, we will examine, how technological developments impact individuals, society and democracy and how the Digital Century is radically altering individuals basic personal and political lives. We will discuss the challenges arising, for example, from Data Privacy & Synthetic Media, and Chatbots & Workforce.
