Course Description: As the 2024 election cycle begins, deep fakes, political advertisements generated by artificial intelligence (AI), and election disinformation are becoming more creative at targeting and influencing voters. This raises questions of whether voters will always be able to spot the difference between real and fake political ads and election information. In this course, Joycelyn Tate teaches you how to recognize AI-generated content, how election disinformation is distributed and specifically targeted to voters, and how to protect yourself against the dangers of AI-generated political content, deep fakes, and voter disinformation.
