Rhythm of Life 2024

Rhythm of Life: September 6 from 6-10pmThe final chapter of healing is to help others along the journey, and we can think of no better way than to support the on-going efforts of the Johns Hopkins Colorectal Cancer Center of Excellence at the Kimmel Cancer Center, where they are focused on developing treatments for longer and better survivorship while also discovering advancements for earlier detection and prevention. Great clinicians, scientists and support teams doing great things!

George Davis and his wife, Patricia, along with the Trey Mancini Foundation invite you to a night of celebration - great food, an open bar, and wonderful entertainment - while honoring the Johns Hopkins Colorectal Cancer Center. Our goal is to raise funding for the Center, while also creating more local awareness and to celebrate survivorship.

We are excited to inform everyone that we have secured some great music for our event on September 6th at Gertrude’s to honor the Johns Hopkins Colorectal Cancer Center of Excellence!
Special acoustic performance by famed luthier, Paul Reed Smith and Kimmel Cancer Center Director, Dr. Bill Nelson with members of their band PRS Eightlock have agreed to play for us.

The Colorectal Cancer Center of Excellence at the Kimmel Cancer Center brings together the extensive laboratory and clinical expertise of Johns Hopkins. The goals of the Center are: to make colorectal cancer that is discovered in advanced stages—a chronic illness; discovered in early stages—a curable illness; and a cancer that for the majority of people will be wholly preventable.
Despite its large global impact on the health of so many people around the world, research support for colorectal cancer lags behind that of many less prevalent and less commonly fatal cancers. Funding in this area is urgently needed to advance next generation colorectal cancer treatment and prevention.
Each contribution to the Johns Hopkins Colorectal Cancer Center of Excellence has the potential to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients at Johns Hopkins and around the world. Our physician-scientists are leading the way, and your support will support innovations that translate to better, more effective treatments.

If you aren't able to join us on September 6th in person but would like to support the Colorectal Cancer Research Center of Excellence - please click here to make a donation.
