Adapting Healthcare Infrastructure and Services to Climate Change

Adapting Healthcare Infrastructure and Services to Climate Change

Healthcare facilities around the world are responding to increasing numbers of climate related illnesses including disease outbreaks from flash flooding, wildfires, extreme heat and other climate-linked stresses and shocks. In low and middle income countries, where the most vulnerable reside, fragile healthcare systems are enduring greater stress due to increases in emergency care and disruptions in services due to changing climates. Join us for a conversation on what it means to make healthcare facilities more  sustainable and resilient to increasing climate shocks and stresses, and the importance of adapting anticipatory action to prevent as many individual illnesses as possible.
