Hand-Lettering Calligraphy Class

Join fellow alumni and friends as we discover the foundations of script letters with pencil and paper with Melissa Esplin of Calligraphy.org. We'll work through drawing script letters simply with the humble pencil! As time allows, we'll dive deeper into the structure of script letters and how they can be manipulated for stylistic preferences. Calligraphy requires a manipulation of tools that can be intimidating to master. Acquiring the right tools can also be expensive and time-consuming. Hand-lettering draws from the foundations of calligraphy, the tools and approach can be infinitely simplified.
