Treating Emerging Diseases: A Virologist’s Perspective on Resource Allocation

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, diseases and viruses were a common threat to people around the world. In many cases, these established or emerging diseases were not seen as a threat to those in the  Global North. This informal identification of ‘not a threat’ to some populations made it more challenging to fund and deliver resources to areas impacted by these diseases. Join Marika David as she interviews virologist Rob Jordan about the issue, and the opportunities available to limit transmission, treat illnesses, and track impact.
