Seattle, WA: Alpine Lakes High Camp Weekend Getaway
Sponsored by Hopkins Seattle
Join fellow alumni and friends for this winter getaway! Take a ride up to 5000ft where you'll spend a winter weekend in the Cascade backcountry. Boasting 9 cabins and a lodge, the Alpine Lakes High Camp has been a destination for decades. Now it's your chance to experience rare access to the peaks, lakes, and ridges of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, located just 15 miles east of Stevens Pass. We have rented out the entire property for our group and look forward to quality time with our JHU alumni community!
ITINERARY: This will be an adventure you won’t forget! For skiers and boarders, you can strap in right from your front door and access first tracks all day. You can also alpine tour, snowshoe, sled, fat bike, or just relax in the lodge as you prefer—the property hosts a wood fired tub and sauna in addition to showers! In the evenings, we’ll spend time in the main lodge playing board games, puzzles, and reading books. Feel free to bring a musical instrument too!
Friday January 5th: Transportation up to High Camp (10am, 2pm, 6pm)
Sunday January 7th: Transportation down from High Camp (11am, 1pm, 3pm)
LOGISTICS: We can accommodate up to 50 guests for the weekend with lodging provided in a cozy cabin equipped with a gas cooktop, wood stove, bed/mattress, and deck. A camp host will provide water from an underground mountain spring. Transportation from highway 2 parking lot is provided by the host for a fee of $85/adult and $45/child (ages 5-12) - at your own cost. This means you can bring along anything you want and have it delivered to your doorstep.
