Keith Bickel (SAIS '89, PhD'99)

Keith Bickel is the Federal Government Relations Executive focused on mortgage markets for Bank of America in Washington, D.C. 

In addition to his current role, Keith has also led both the Bank’s affordable lending group where he was responsible for helping drive sustainable homeownership for key borrower demographics, and the Strategic Portfolio analytics group reporting up to the CEO.

Before joining the Bank, Keith was chief of staff for the COO at Freddie Mac, and led the corporate strategy group there as well. 

His prior national security career includes positions held at the White House, Pentagon, and a think tank, as well as several entrepreneurial ventures.

Keith holds a Doctorate and Masters from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a Bachelors degree from UPenn. He is originally from St. Croix and St. Maarten in the West Indies and currently resides in the Washington, DC area.
