Join alumni, friends, and current students at Homewood’s Imagine Center for an evening of connections through informal and structured conversations, and enjoy some student performances to kick off the weekend. Refreshments will be served.

Spectrum of Black Experience at JHU: How Culture & Arts Support Self-Expression & Create Community

Join the Society of Black Alumni (SOBA) and Hopkins Retrospective for a dynamic moderated discussion and an arts exchange. This gathering will explore self-expression, the presence of the arts and culture at Hopkins and how they have helped to build community across decades especially in times of challenge. Featured speakers will be SOBA Professor Martha S. Jones, Sheridan Libraries Africana Archivist Tonika Berkley, and Krieger Graduate Student Jessica Newby.
