Dhanvini Gudi
Dhanvini Gudi is a PhD candidate and researcher at Johns Hopkins University with a goal of advancing renewable energy technologies. As a specialist in Electrical and Computer Engineering, she has been at the forefront of designing next-generation solar cells and photo-batteries using colloidal quantum dots and 2D materials.
Dhanvini previously worked as a Senior Engineer at Global Foundries where she led a teams in yield and integration. Beyond her primary research, Dhanvini is a dedicated science educator and communicator who bridges the gap between complex engineering and public understanding. At Paper Crane Lab, she served as a Content Developer and Educator, designing STEM + Art curricula and taught creative engineering courses to students of all ages.
As the creator of Dhanvini Explores, she continues this mission by producing short-form content that makes STEM accessible to thousands of viewers. She brings a multi-disciplinary perspective to her work, having also served as Professional Development Chair for different graduate student associations at JHU. Outside of her academic endeavors, she is the founder of BMore Natyam, where she teaches and facilitates dance workshops and organizes cultural community events.
