Dr. Cora-Bramble is the Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President of Ambulatory and Community Health Services at Children’s National Hospital (CNH) in the District of Columbia. She is the first and only woman or minority to hold this position in CNH’s 150-year history.


Ian Lee Brown is Vice President for Organizational Development, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging at Erickson Living, a nation-leading developer and manager of continuing care retirement communities. Ian leads company-wide strategies that drive the employee experience, including talent management, development, and diversity, inclusion and belonging.

Meet the Speaker:

Ian Lee BrownDenice Cora-Bramble, Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President of Ambulatory & Community Health Services, Children’s National Hospital

Denice Cora-Bramble, MD, MBA is the Chief Medical Officer & Executive Vice President of Ambulatory and Community Health Services at Children’s National Hospital (CNH) in the District of Columbia. In this role, she leads the clinical operations of primary and specialty ambulatory services including regional outpatient centers, emergency departments, community health centers, pediatric practices, school-based health centers, mobile medical units as well as nursing services in DC Public Schools. As Chief Medical Officer, she oversees more than 1,000 physicians, nurses & administrative staff members.

After finishing a Bachelor of Science degree at George Washington University Dr. Cora-Bramble completed her medical and pediatric residency training at Howard University and a Master in Business Administration with a concentration in Medical Services   Management from Johns Hopkins University.  Her professional development also included a three-year W.K. Kellogg Foundation Leadership fellowship. Dr. Cora-Bramble served as a commissioned officer in the US Public Health Services and held several leadership positions at the George Washington University Medical Center and the US Department of Health and Human Services.

Ian Lee Brown is Vice President for Organizational Development, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging at Erickson Living, a nation-leading developer, and manager of continuing care retirement communities. Ian leads company-wide strategies that drive the employee experience, including talent management, development, and diversity, inclusion and belonging.

Prior to his current role, Ian served Erickson in various executive director roles, overseeing large-scale retirement campuses with over  1,200 staff, 2,000 residents, and managing budgets exceeding $100 million. Prior to his role at Erickson, he held leadership capacities at other retirement living and healthcare companies successfully.

Ian completed undergraduate studies at Brooklyn College in New York. He earned a Master of Liberal Studies at Chicago’s Lake Forest College and both a Master of Science in Organizational Development and Graduate Certificate in Senior Housing and Healthcare from the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins. He also spent a year in the Mid-Atlantic Health Leadership Institute at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
