On the Road with JHU: Pierogi Power Hour

On the Road with JHU: Pierogi Power Hour

Sponsored by Hopkins Alumni

Chef WonJoin Chef Won Kim, Chef/Partner of Kimski: a Korean Polish street food restaurant in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago, as he walks you through how to make three different types of pierogis! Chef Won is dedicated to creating food that is approachable, and is always experimenting with ways to push the envelope on classic Korean and Polish dishes. Not only will you learn how to make a versatile pierogi dough from scratch, but you'll also have a chance to make three unique fillings for your pierogis: potato and cheese, kimchi with ground pork and dill, and strawberry with ricotta.

Making Pierogi

Kimski recently pivoted to the Community Canteen model, providing hot meals for those in need, and a portion of your ticket purchase will go directly to supporting Community Canteen

Fellow alum, Carleigh Connelly, KSAS '08, of Virtual Dining Chicago, will be producing the event and will share the event Zoom link, ingredient + equipment lists, and recipes so that you'll be all set to start cooking as soon as the alumni pierogi power hour kicks off! This class will have a limited number of spaces available, so please make sure to register early to secure your spot!
