Wednesday, September 11th - Catalyzing the Black Vote: A Discussion with Dr. Lester Spence & Lionel Foster

  • Time - 6:00 - 7:30 pm
  • Location - Virtual via Zoom

As we approach another pivotal election, the significance of the Black vote cannot be overstated. Our community has the power to influence change, advocate for our rights, and ensure our voices are heard at every level of government. On September 11th, join us virtually for a dynamic and informative discussion featuring Dr. Lester Spence moderated by Lionel Foster '02.

 

Thursday, September 12th - What's the Tea on Your Future with Hopkins Black Alumni

Discover the power of connection as we bring together Black alumni and current students for candid conversations about authenticity, overcoming disappointments, making difficult decisions, navigating challenging relationships, and fostering valuable connections.  Don't miss this special opportunity to engage with Hopkins current students from all 9 divisions and other accomplished alumni. The gathering will begin with networking, a fireside chat with Phillips Mitchell '13 and Adante Hart '11, followed by small group discussions.

Friday, September 13th - A Black & Blue Gathering

  • Time - 5:30 - 9:00 pm
  • Location - Eaton DC, 1201 K St NW, Washington, DC 20005

Join us for an evening of connections, food, and drinks on the the rooftop of the Eaton Hotel. This event is in collaboration with our CBC partners, and all JHU alumni, current students, and friends are welcome. Attendees will receive a drink ticket upon registration. Happy hour at the Eaton will run from 4 pm to 6 pm, and specials will be available throughout the evening. Early arrival is encouraged!

 

Saturday, September 14th - Shaping Our Collective Future: Panel Discussions on Key Issues

  • Time - 11:00 - 2:00 pm
  • Location - The Bloomberg Center at 555 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington DC 20001

Join us for several dynamic and thought-provoking moderated discussions with a diverse group of experts who will delve into critical issues shaping our collective future. Discussions will focus on the key topics of Health Equity, Entrepreneurship, and Democracy. Enjoy brunch and continue the conversations after the formal discussions end.
